SUPPORT OUR CHURCH
All humanity stands in need of salvation, which is only possible through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is the transformation of a person’s individual nature and relationship with God as a result of repentance and faith in Jesus. Salvation involves a change in the relationship between God and a person. It also includes personal renewal and transformation through the work of the Holy Spirit. What Are We Saved From? Salvation refers to our deliverance from the consequence of sin and therefore involves the removal of sin. (Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:9). Who Does The Saving? Only Jesus Christ can remove sin and deliver us from sin’s penalty (2 Timothy 1:9; Titus 3:5). How Does God Save? In the Christian doctrine of salvation, God has rescued us through Christ (John 3:17). Specifically, it was Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection that achieved our salvation (Romans 5:10; Ephesians 1:7). How Do We Receive Salvation? We are saved by faith. First, we must hear the gospel – the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection (Ephesians 1:13). Then, we must believe – fully trust the Lord Jesus (Romans 1:16). The Bible declares that if we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, then we would be saved. It is a promise and covenant between God and His people. Did you know that Jesus Christ died on the Cross at Calvary so that you and I might have eternal life? Have you opened up your mouth and declared that Jesus is Lord? Do you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord? “…If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame” (Romans 10:9 – 11, NIV). If you accepted Christ today we’d love to celebrate with you.
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down,
and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom”
